Prior to Wesleyan: Attended McMurry University, but did not play basketball.
Prep: A three-time 1st-team All-District selection for coach Melissa Hernandez at Angleton High School...led AHS to the State Finals and was named 1st-team All-State as a Junior.
Personal: Born Tara Hurd on Dec. 27, 1987, in Huntsville, TX...daughter of Torin Hurd and Charyl Williams...has two sisters, Chenikka Woodard and Cayle Hurd...is majoring in optometry.
