SAN ANTONIO, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team (5-4) suffered a 2-1 loss at Our Lady of the Lake University (8-4) on Wednesday.
The Saints got goals from Betsy Rodriguez and Amanda Bonds. Texas Wesleyan’s lone strike came from Dominique Harrison.
Head coach Josh Gibbs said the team needed to fix some things in preparation for their upcoming Red River Athletic Conference tilt at UT-Brownsville. “I was very disappointed today,” Gibbs said. “We are a much better team than we put out there today. I’m glad we have a week to prepare before we get back into conference play.”
The Lady Rams will travel to Brownsville, TX, to take on defending RRAC Champion, UT-Brownsville (3-3-1) on Wednesday, October 8. That contest is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start. |
