SAN ANTONIO, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team (4-3-2) played to a scoreless draw through two overtime periods at Our Lady of the Lake University (4-4-2) on Wednesday.
Joakim Soderbaum and Toby Rochau combined on the 110 minute shutout for the Rams.
“We played really well and were dangerous,” said head coach Josh Gibbs. “We were just a bit unlucky on the finishing side. “Swen [Joakim Soderbaum] and Toby [Rochau] were great. It was good to Toby back out there and playing well.”
The Rams will now prepare to take on defending Red River Athletic Conference champion UT-Brownsville. That match will be played in Brownsville, TX, on Wednesday, October 8, and is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start. |
