FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University’s Chamuquin Prince has been named Red River Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the period of September 8-14. Prince shared the award with Olen Arey of Bacon College (OK).
Prince, a sophomore defender from Dallas, TX, anchored a defensive effort that allowed just five shots on goal with only two coming in the second half in a 4-1 victory over Concordia University Texas. The Rams rose to 3-1-1 on the season.
Ranger Parrish of Northwood University (TX) turned in three goals and an assist against the College of Santa Fe (NM) to take the Offensive Player of the Week nod.
Texas Wesleyan will travel to Oklahoma City, OK, on Tuesday, September 16, to take on 14th ranked Oklahoma City University (5-1). That game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
