HUSKIES BLANK LADY RAMS
October 3, 2007

Box Score

HOUSTON, TX:  The Texas Wesleyan University women’s soccer team (5-5-2) suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of NCAA Division I Houston Baptist University (6-4) on Wednesday.

The Huskies controlled the game throughout.  HBU used a pair of goals from Ana Viscariello to take a 2-0 lead at the half on their way to the program’s first win over Texas Wesleyan in it’s second season of existence.

Holly Rowland made seven saves in the final 25 minutes after coming on in relief of Brittany O’Brien.

“We just did not play well today,” said head coach Josh Gibbs.  “We’ve got three days to rest and get ready to make a strong run in the conference.”

The Lady Rams will finish the season with five consecutive Red River Athletic Conference games beginning at Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Saturday.  That game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start in Waxahachie, TX, and will be followed by a men’s game.
