LADY RAMS SPLIT OPENING DAY MATCHES |

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX;The Texas Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball Team split their first two games of the season losing 3-1 to Hastings College, and sweeping Bellevue University in the first day of action at the UT-Brownsville Padre Tournament.
In the first match against Hastings the Lady Rams narrowly lost game one 30-24. They took game two 30-18, but lost game three 30-13, and just fell short in game four losing 30-26.
In the second match against Bellevue the Lady Rams swept the Lady Bruins by edging out three hard fought wins, taking game one 30-28 and games two and three 31-29. Head Coach Christy Clawson stated, "The girls are playing well. They were very consistent, and I'm proud of the start they had." The Lady Rams continue at the UT-Brownsville Padre Tournament tomorrow taking on UT-Brownsville at 12:00 p.m., and Tecnologico de Monterrey at 3:00 p.m |
