SALINA, KS: The Texas Wesleyan University women’s basketball team (2-4) suffered a 64-43 loss at the hands of Tabor College on Saturday. The game was the final game for the Lady Rams in Kansas Wesleyan’s Coyote Classic.
In the first half, the Lady Rams shot 39% and trailed by just five, 33-28, at the break.
However, Tabor played stifling defense in the second half, holding Texas Wesleyan to just 18% from the floor in the period.
The Rams were out rebounded by just one, 38-37, and forced 21 turnovers, but Tabor shot 50% in the game compared to just 28% for Texas Wesleyan.
Texas Wesleyan’s Keegan Harry led all scorers with a career-high 16 points. Emily Vogts led three players in double-figures for Tabor with 15 points.
The Lady Rams will travel to Chickasha, OK, on December 2, when they will take on The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. That game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off. |
