BROWN NAMED RRAC P.O.W.

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University’s Nastassia Brown has been named Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her performance in last week’s contest against Loyola University.

Brown, a senior forward from Fort Worth, TX, led all scorers with 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field.  After trailing 42-28 at halftime, Brown led the Rams on a furious second half comeback.  Texas Wesleyan rallied to tie the game at 60 before falling 68-64.

The Lady Rams are back in action this weekend when they travel to Salina, KS, for Kansas Wesleyan’s Coyote Thanksgiving Classic.  They will take on Kansas Wesleyan on Friday, November 24.  That game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off.  Saturday’s 2:00 p.m. game will feature the Lady Rams against Tabor College.
