FOWLER NAMED RRAC AND REGION VI P.O.W.

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University’s Heather Fowler has been named Red River Athletic Conference and Region VI Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the period of October 23-29.

Fowler, a senior captain from Leander, Texas, powered the Lady Rams to a 4-0 win over Houston Baptist University (Texas) in its only match of the week. She accounted for two of her team’s goals, and she has scored five of her nine goals on the season in the last four Texas Wesleyan matches. The Lady Rams have outscored their opponents, 22-0, during that stretch to raise their season record to 7-7 and their final conference mark to 5-1.

Fowler and the second seeded Lady Rams will take on third seeded Bacone College in today’s RRAC Tournament semifinals.  That match will take place on the campus of Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX, at 10:00 a.m.
