WICHITA FALLS, TX: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team fell to 2-5-2 on the season after suffering a 9-0 loss at Midwestern State University (10-2-1) which is ranked 21st nationally in NCAA Divison II.
The Mustangs scored early and often. Brandon Swartzendruber scored his first of three goals just over five minutes into the contest. Two minutes later, Daniel Woolard scored to make it 2-0. Sun Potter scored just inside the 12-minute mark. Potter would finish with two goals and four assists.
Midwestern State took a 6-0 lead into halftime and cruised to the 9-0 win.
The Rams will look to rebound this weekend. They travel to East Texas Baptist on Friday, October 13, before resuming conference play against Texas College on Saturday. Friday’s game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
