RAMS FALL TO WARRIORS |
STERLING, KS: The Texas Wesleyan University men’s soccer team (1-2-1) suffered a 2-1 loss on a late goal by Sterling College on Saturday.
For the second straight game, cautions marred the Rams performance. Five cards were called in the game, and all went against the Rams. Christian Villasenor netted the lone goal for the Rams, giving him the team lead with a pair on the young season. The game was the final contest before the Rams begin conference play. They will travel to Hobbs, NM, on Saturday, September 23, to take on College of the Southwest in the conference opener. That game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a women’s game. |
