Hansen, a senior goalkeeper from Haltom City, Texas, fought off shot after shot to preserve a 0-0 tie in the Rams’ season opener against West Texas A&M University. West Texas held a 28-11 advantage in shots, but Hansen countered that statistic by delivering 11 saves through regulation and two overtime periods to post the shutout. The Rams have since won their second match, and Hansen posted another shutout in a 3-0 win over Maryville University. With that win, Texas Wesleyan’s record stands at 1-0-1 on the season. The Rams return to action on Wednesday, September 13, when they travel to Belton, TX, to take on Mary Hardin-Baylor. That game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a women’s match at 1:00 p.m. |
