LADY RAMS WAN AND DANIEL

FORT WORTH, TX:  Texas Wesleyan University head volleyball coach Christy Clawson announced today the signing of Rachelle Wan and Racheal Daniel, a  pair of 6’0” middle blockers.

Wan played for coach Jack Warren at Arlington Heights High School.  She was a three-time All-District performer and was named District Hitter of the Year last season.

She also played for coach Susan Kaufman with Texas Image Club Volleyball.  Wan is the daughter of Kevin and Ginger Wan.

Daniel was a two-time All-District and three time Academic All-District selection for coach Jill Kimball at Burleson High School.  She was also named team-MVP and 2nd-team All-County in 2007.

Daniel also played for coach Arthur Stanfield at Texas Advantage Volleyball Club.  She is the daughter of Butch and Cynthia Daniel.

With Erinn Miller and Liz Meng both entering their senior seasons, the Lady Rams will have a hole to fill up front.  “Rachel and Rachelle will both be groomed to move into that spot in 2008,” said Coach Clawson.  “They both bring height and talent to our program.  I expect that they will both see some playing time this season whether it be in the middle, outside, or right side position.  I'm very excited about our incoming freshman class. They will complement the returning players and create a competitive atmosphere.”
