FORT WORTH, TX: Texas Wesleyan University head volleyball coach Christy Clawson announced today the signing of Brittney Person, a 5’6” outside hitter out of Red Oak High School in Dallas, TX.
Person played volleyball for coach Arthur Stanfield and also ran track at ROHS. She was a two-time 1st-team All-District selection. She was also named Hitter of the Year in her junior and senior seasons.
Person has also played for Coach Clawson’s club team at Texas Advantage 18. “She is a very athletic young lady that comes from a strong high school program,” said Clawson commented. “She is a competitor that has that internal drive to push herself to work hard. Although she is small for her position, she does a good job of playing big and putting the ball away.
Person is the daughter of Claud and Karen Person.
The Lady Rams went 20-10 overall last season and have reached the NAIA’s Elite-Eight in two of the last three seasons. |
