FORT WORTH, Texas -
Sophomore Nathan Mutchler scored two goals to lead Texas Wesleyan past Mary-Hardin Baylor, 5-0, Tuesday afternoon at Martin Field.

The Rams poured in three goals in the first 36 minutes, with Mutchler netting two of them on assists from freshman Christian Villasenor and sophomore Jose Melendez. Villasenor added the third goal to put the Rams up 3-0 at halftime.

"We started out strong, putting pressure on their goal from the start," head coach Steve Jones said. "After a few of our shots hit the crossbar, we started to find the back of the net. We were able to finish with ease the rest of the afternoon."

In the second half, freshman Mark Puente and Rene Mercado capped off the scoring.

Mary-Hardin Baylor (1-6) was only able to get off nine shots compared to 17 for Texas Wesleyan.

The Rams will be back in action Friday, when they travel to take on St. Gregory's at 4 p.m.
