DALLAS, Texas - Golfer Reino Deetlefs has been named Red River Athletic Conference golfer of the month for March by conference coaches.

     Deetlefs, registered a 74.88 stroke average and finished in the Top-10 in two of three tournaments during the month.

     "Reino had some solid finishes during the month of May," head coach Kevin Millikan said. "He led the team in stroke average for the month and has been a real leader for us. We look for him to continue his steady play during Nationals."

     The Randsburg, South Africa native had his best finish at the UST Texas Intercollegiate in Fort Worth. Reino (70-72-70-212) fired a tournament score of four-under par and finished tied for third place.

     The junior ended the month with a seventh-place finish at the Sleep Inn and Suites Classic in Oklahoma City, Okla. He opened the tournament with an even-par 72, and finished with rounds of 78 and 80, to stay in the top-10.

     The Rams will likely be back in action when it takes part in the 54th annual NAIA National Tournament, which will take place May 24-27, at the Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe, Kan.
