DALLAS, Texas - Texas Wesleyan junior Jason Hopson was named Red River Athletic Conference pitcher of the week by the conference office on Tuesday.

     Hopson, a junior right-hander from Fort Worth, Texas, tossed a complete game victory in his only start of the week. He struck out six hitters and scattered seven hits to earn a 2-1 win over Northwood University (Texas) on Friday. Now 5-1 on the season, he lowered his ERA to 2.36. He has 41 strikeouts in 49.2 innings pitched. The Rams are now 22-10 on the season with a record of 4-1 in the RRAC.

     The Rams will be back in action Friday when they host conference-rival Southwestern Assemblies of God. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at LaGrave Field.
