DALLAS, Texas - Senior Danah Merck was named Red River Athletic Conference co-player of the week by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

     Merck, a senior outfielder/infielder from Burleson, Texas, was 8-for-13 at the plate (.615) in a 3-1 week for TWU. She was 3-for-3 against University of Texas of the Permian Basin with two doubles and an RBI, and she went 3-for-4 in a 7-6 win over Trinity University (Texas) with a run scored and an RBI. Merck homered against Trinity in the first game of that double-header and drove in one run in each of Wesleyan's games. The Lady Rams are now 10-5 on the season.

     Texas Wesleyan will be back in action Tuesday when it plays host to College of Saint Mary's at Sycamore Park. The doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.
