November 2, 2004

Box Score

     CEDAR HILL, Texas -
Sophomore Nichole Richardson scored in the 60th minute, but that was not enough as Texas Wesleyan fell to College of the Southwest, 2-1, in overtime of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

Texas Wesleyan (7-8-2) opened the scoring in the 60th minute when Richardson took a pass from junior Leslie Tabor and ripped a shot from 25 yards out that found the upper left corner of the goal. It was the Mansfield, Texas natives, ninth goal of the season.

College of the Southwest (11-7) evened the score in the 72nd minute when Amanda Lozano's free kick skipped past Lady Ram goalkeeper Jennifer Arrellano and into the net.

In the third minute of the first overtime, the Lady Mustangs' Amanda Reinhardt was taken down by Arellano in the goal box. Ashley Pfister knocked in the penalty kick to give College of the Southwest the victory, and a spot in Wednesday's conference championship.

The Lady Mustangs outshot the Lady Rams, 6-5, and committed 18 fouls, to Texas Wesleyan's 13 fouls.
