     OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -
The Texas Wesleyan golf team shot a final round 301 to drop from a tie for second place to a fourth-place finish Tuesday afternoon at the UC Ferguson Classic.

Texas Wesleyan (289-306-301-896) had been tied with the SMU JV squad after two rounds Monday, but fell to fourth place after Tuesday's round at Twin Hills Country Club.

"We made poor decisions all day long," head coach Kevin Millikan said. "You can't expect to win if you are making tactical mistakes and counting scores above 75."

Junior Reino Deetlefs (68-76-73-217) continued to shine for the Rams as he finished in third place individually at one-over par.

Also competing for Texas Wesleyan were sophomore Scott Sikes (73-76-73-222) who finished tied for 10th, senior Justin Ward (74-73-76-223) who finished tied for 13th, junior Blake Sullivan (74-81-81-236) who finished tied for 47th and sophomore Will Woodring (79-82-79-240) who finished tied for 61st.

Texas Wesleyan returns to action Monday when they travel to Goodyear, Ariz., to compete in the Grand Canyon Classic at Estrella Mountain Ranch Golf Club. The two-day event is scheduled for 36 holes.
