Head Coach: Brennen Shingleton

Brennen Shingleton is entering his eighth season at Texas Wesleyan University and second as Associate Head Coach after serving six season as Coach Waldrop’s lead assistant.

In the absence of Coach Waldrop during the 2006-07 season, Shingleton earned his first win when he led the Rams to a 113-78 win over Bacone.  During his tenure the Rams have put together an overall record of 122-77.

A native of Fort Worth, TX, Shingleton was a member of the NJCAA Region 14 Conference Championship team at Long Morris College under head coach Dale Dodson in 1993.  After a year at Lon Morris, Shingleton joined Terry Waldrop (then an assistant coach) at NCAA Division I Southeastern Louisiana University.  During his tenure, the Lions won a share of the Trans America Championship, finished second in another season, and were ranked as high as 32nd nationally by USA Today.

Shingleton renewed his relationship with Coach Waldrop when he joined the Texas Wesleyan Basketball Program as an assistant coach in 2002.  He is involved in every aspect of the Rams program including recruiting, practice and in-game coaching, and post player development.  He is also responsible for the infamous preseason conditioning sessions conducted in the early hours of the morning.

Shingleton completed his master's in business administration at Texas Wesleyan University in 2005.

Shingleton was married July 4, 2009.  He and his wife, Amanda, reside in Arlington.
