History

Texas Wesleyan All-Americans

Texas Wesleyan University has a well-established national prominence in men's golf competition.

Within the NAIA (1952-1999):

  • Texas Wesleyan University qualified for the NAIA national tournament 43 out of 48 years of membership, and only finished out of the top 10 twice.
  • Texas Wesleyan won the district championship 45 times in its 48-year history. During this time, the Rams earned 21 consecutive Big State Conference Championships (1950-1970) and five consecutive Texoma Conference Championships (1974-1978).
  • National Champions: 1964, 1969, 1975, 1990, 1995 and 1999
    Second Place: 1961, 1962, 1966, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1998
    Third Place: 1952, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1963, 1988, 1989 and 1994
    Fourth Place: 1978 and 1996
    Fifth Place: 1953,1955,1960,1965,1970,1979 and 1984

As for the NCAA (1999-2002):

  • 1999 West Regional Champions
  • Texas Wesleyan University qualified for the NCAA national tournament 2 out of 4 years of membership.
  • Texas Wesleyan won the district championship 3 out of 4 years.
