RAMS NEARLY PULL OFF IMPROBABLE DAY: FINISH SECOND TO SECOND RANKED OCU May 14, 2009 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (42-22) came just a few feet from winning three games on Thursday and forcing a championship game on Friday with a trip to the NAIA World Series on the line. In a suspended game from Wednesday night, the Rams rallied to top McKendree University (37-21-2) 11-10. Texas Wesleyan then took an 11-5 win over LSU-Shreveport (42-16). That put the Rams in the finals of the 2009 NAIA Championship Opening Round with top-seeded Oklahoma City University (51-7) where they pushed the Stars to the limit before falling 6-5. RAMS AND BEARCATS SUSPENDED BY RAIN May 13, 2009 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: Wednesday night’s NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round game between Texas Wesleyan University and McKendree University was suspended due to rain after nearly eight innings of rain. RAMS RALLY TO TOP BEARCATS May 12, 2009 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK: The Texas Wesleyan University baseball team (40-20) rallied from a 7-1 deficit to top McKendree University (36-20-2) in the first game of the 2009 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round. The Rams scored five runs in their last two turns at bat to take a 9-8 win and reach the 40-win plateau for the third consecutive season. Click here for the story.
