2006: Appeared in 51 games starting 50…accumulated 62 hits in 180 at bats…had 6 doubles, a triple and 19 RBI…reached base 44.1% of the time…led the team with 29 walks and 25 stolen bases…had 20 multi-hit games and an 11-game hitting streak…placed 9th in the Red River Conference in runs scored with 53 and 3rd in stolen bases with 25…went 2-5 with 2 BB, 3Rs, including the game tying run in the bottom of the 9th at Texas Tech (3/29), also added a stolen base…went 2-4 with 2 RBI and 4Rs vs. Iowa Wesleyan (3/12)…in the most important conference series last year vs. UT-Permian Basin Jason went 5-11 with 6Rs (4/21-4/22).

2005: Named 2nd-team All-Conference…appeared in 56 games starting 54…batted .364 in 165 at bats…led team in runs scored with 48…led team with 15 stolen bases…led team with 37 walks…went 7-12 with 5 runs and 2 RBI in opening conference series sweep of College of the Southwest (3/25-3/26)…was 3-4 with 2 runs and a game high 4 RBI vs. Dallas Baptist (4/22)…vs. LSU-Shreveport went 3-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

2004: Appeared in 50 games, starting 44 of them...led the team in hitting with a .404 batting average and a .511 on-base percentage...scored a team-high 48 runs to go along with his 23 RBI and 57 hits...also had a team-best 31 walks...registered six three-hit games or better during the season...went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored in a victory over Paul Quinn (3/23-2)...also had three RBI against Austin College (4/13-1)...had a season-high four hits in victories over College of the SW (3/20) and Texas College (5/6)...tallied two stolen bases at Southwestern (3/21)...hit .522 (12-23) in his last six games of the season, which included a 4-for-5 game against Texas College (5/6).

High School: A three-year letter winner for John Alba at Diamond Hill Jarvis High School…collected 96 hits over his three-year career…selected as the district's defensive most valuable player his junior and senior seasons…hit .470 with 33 hits, 12 doubles and four triples on his way to being named 1st-team All-District and the district's Most Valuable Player his sophomore season.

Personal: Born Jason Andrew Diaz on Oct. 5, 1984, in Fort Worth, TX…son of John and Vickie Diaz…has two brothers, John David and Ransom, and two sisters, Shelly and Esmerelda…majoring in math.
